The story behind the role
So far, our Director has driven our marketing strategy, operations, and creative collaboration. However, our rapid growth, paired with our global brand rollout, has meant that we’re on the lookout for a Brand Marketing Director to take over marketing initiatives, enabling our Director to focus on other critical growth areas of our organisation.

Reporting to the Director and with the support of our small team of talented professionals, you’ll be across all elements of our marketing with a key focus on shaping and driving our marketing strategy, growing brand awareness, and playing a pivotal role in enhancing overall profitability and brand growth.

We’re looking for a Brand Marketing Director to head our marketing team and grow our brand through storytelling, visual narratives, ad creative, content, and social media.
Our ideal candidate finds paid advertising second nature and has a comprehensive understanding of how it can be strategically put to work to grow our DTC brand and build our community.
As our Marketing Director, you’ll be managing our in-house team in addition to executing projects yourself. You’ll be responsible for influencing our brand evolution, growth, and online presence.
As Brand Marketing Director, you’ll:
Lead all content marketing efforts and creative development to create high-converting ads, especially social media video content.
Drive strategy, budget, and execution of brand marketing initiatives through any medium required, ensuring a consistent brand message across all consumer touchpoints including web, paid media, product, packaging, retail, events, social, catalog, etc.
Build a team of talented powerhouses to support you, and our brand’s, marketing initiatives.
Partner closely with our Growth and Marketing team to develop the brand narrative and shared vision – then bring it to life.
Build & oversee the Growth team on creative ad testing, website CRO, targeting refinement, and validating new channel opportunities.
Lead our marketing editorial calendar, online reputation management, blog, and SEO initiatives.
Leverage deep understanding of UI/UX and design to elevate our brand aesthetics and customer experience.
Lead our copy, content, social media, and creative teams in all asset production and creative strategy.
Optimise and elevate the customer experience from A to Z – from the moment they see an ad for the first time to the moment they receive and unbox our products.
Analyse our consumer insights and customer experience metrics to elevate our brand affinity, streamline our brand voice, and tailor our messaging to better connect with our target audiences.
Take P&L ownership of all acquisition, retention, and all e-commerce analytics (LTV, AOV, CAC) to maximise lifetime ROI and customer experience.
As in any small team, sometimes you’ll need to lead by example, roll up your sleeves to get things done.
What you'll ideally bring with you
5+ years of experience in a marketing leadership role for an eCommerce brand (bonus points if it’s DTC and in the health and beauty space)
Successful experience in developing and implementing content strategy
Experience leading or overseeing a creative team
A strong understanding of paid and owned media channels
Experience hiring, building and managing teams
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with others in a fast-paced environment
An ability to problem-solve and streamline asset creation processes
An understanding of how UI/UX design and strategy ties into branding and conversion tactics.
A motivated self-starter who can zoom in and out, between managing a team and executing independently
A growth mindset and a drive for personal development
Exceptional communication skills, copywriting skills, and a highly developed understanding of the marketing ecosystem
Experience creating and implementing product launch strategies and content marketing calendars
Demonstrated project management skills
Experience commissioning video and photographic assets
Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines and manage budgets
An understanding of paid social and the role it plays in building online communities
Keen attention to detail
An understanding of analytics and current/future marketing changes/trends
Strong analytical skills
