Why we made the Daily Beauty Collection

Fine lines. Breakouts. Damaged, dull, and problematic skin.

When we began developing our Daily Beauty Collection, these were the issues we, along with our team of naturopaths, were determined to address

The story behind our non-traditional approach to skincare

Between the creams and cleansers, serums and sheet masks – there’s more topical skincare products than you can shake a face roller at.

While topical formulas do have a role to play in maintaining healthy skin, this is only one piece of the great skin puzzle.

Working on the outer layers of the skin, even the best topical skincare products only treat skin issues at the surface level.

The problem with this approach is that it fails to address the underlying health issues triggering these skin dramas in the first place. Issues such as: slow or ineffective skin cell turnover, poor gut health, and nutrient deficiencies triggered by the modern diet.

Knowing that skin problems are rarely skin-deep, we created our Daily Beauty range to support the core internal pillars of healthy skin – collagen production, gut health, and natural energy.

Curious to know how we do it? Read on.

Powered by our Daily Beauty Blend™

Our Daily Beauty Blend™ is the foundational formula that each Daily Beauty product is built on. This core blend is specifically designed to work from the inside-out to support the three main pillars of healthy skin: collagen levels (Glow), gut health (Balance), and energy levels (Energise).

Without aligning the inner pillars of skin health, scrubs, creams, and cleansers may treat today’s skin drama – but they won’t prevent the same problem from cropping up again tomorrow.

Now, let’s take a closer look at what goes into each pillar of our tri-focused blend.

Glow | Vegan collagen boosters

Collagen is the protein that makes up 75% of the skin’s structure and supports all soft tissues1 – making it the key driver of firm, bouncy skin; healthy muscles and joints; and strong hair and nails2.

Our bodies create collagen naturally, but from early adulthood onwards, our existing collagen breaks down and our bodies’ produce less new collagen3. Genetics, illness, and lifestyle factors such as smoking, stress, sun exposure, and alcohol consumption can accelerate collagen depletion – with fine lines being one of the most obvious indicators of collagen deficiency.

While animal-derived collagen products sit at the forefront of current beauty trends, putting such ingredients to work in our formulations doesn’t align with our values.

Instead, we’ve formulated our Daily Beauty Blend™ with the essential plant-based ingredients required to produce and maintain collagen naturally: vitamin C, selenium, silica, zinc glycinate, and three forms of amino acid – proline, lysine, and glycine.

What goes into our Glow complex:

Balance | Gut health support

Studies show that our gut health has a direct influence on our skin health.12

“It has been found that using probiotics to restore the normal gut and skin flora is helpful in treating acne and rosacea,” says board dermatologist, Dr. Adriana Lombardi.

Owing to the intimate skin-gut connection, we’ve formulated our Balance complex with prebiotics, three strains of probiotics, and digestive enzymes.

Through full-spectrum care for the small intestine, large intestine, and gut microbiome, our gut health complex supports proper nutrient absorption and healthy toxin elimination for less bloating and healthier, happier skin.

What goes into our Balance complex:

Energise | Organic quinoa sprouts

Powering your body with natural energy does a lot more than improve your physical and mental function – its positive ripple effect even shows up in your complexion.

Tapping into a natural energy source reduces our reliance on quick hits of sugar and coffee, which can translate into reduced skin inflammation and dehydration.17

Our active B-vitamin complex from organic quinoa sprouts is one of the key factors that set our Daily Beauty Blend™ apart. This complex captures the active B-vitamins that naturally occur in whole grains, but even better, the activated B-vitamin content in our Daily Beauty Blend™ is 100-fold higher than the vitamin B content you’d usually find in standard whole grains.18

This type of B-Vitamin complex is also estimated to be 400% more bioavailable than standard B-vitamins, making them significantly easier for our bodies to absorb.19

What goes into our Energise complex:

One foundational blend. Two targeted formulas.

While our Daily Beauty Blend sits at the centre of every Daily Beauty product, each individual formula is enhanced by unique natural ingredients to target specific beauty and vitality concerns.
